Fengdu Ghost Town
It is one of the most famous cultural landscapes along the tourism line of the Yangtze River. Renowned for its distinctive architectural style, Fengdu is said to be the home of ghosts. It also boasts rich folk culture and art with the integration of Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism.
Scenes of the Three Kingdoms
A large live-action performance Based on the history of the Three Kingdoms in ancient China, the performance takes the mountains and rivers as its stage scenery with the aim of presenting the rich culture and conveying to the audiences the spirit of loyalty.
Shibaozhai Temple
Shibaozhai Temple is known as one of the eight strange structures of the world and was once rated as one of the seven wonders of China by the American Discovery Channel. Built against the Yuyin Mountain, the building is both magnificent in its appearance and unique in its shape.
Baidi City
In Baidi City, many figures of heroes in the Kingdom of Shu-Han, one of the Three Kingdoms, are on display. It is also the best place to enjoy the spectacular sight of the Qutang Gorge, also called Kuimen. In ancient times, famous poets went to Baidi City and visited Kuimen, leaving a large number of poems about this place. Thus, Baidi City is also honored as The City of Poetry.
Wuxia Gorge
Wuxia Gorge is 46 kilometers long. If you navigate on the winding river, you can see deep canyons and precipitous mountains covered by mist.
Xiling Gorge
Xiling Gorge is famous for its torrential currents and precipitous landforms. After visiting it, many historical figures have written proses and poems of which many are still well known at present.
Three Gorges Dam
Three Gorges Hydroelectric Power Station, also called Three Gorges Project or Three Gorges Dam, is 185 meters in height. It is the largest construction project ever undertaken in China as well as the world's largest (installed capacity) hydroelectric power station. The reservoir is over 600 meters long and can store 175 meters of water.
Hometown of Qu Yuan
Zigui County, located in the western party of Hubei Province, is the hometown of Qu Yuan, a patriotic poet of Chu State in the Warring States Period of China. There are many historical sites in the area such as The Qu Yuan Temple.
Three Gorges People
Scenic Area Located in the Xiling Gorge, between the Three Gorges Dam and the Gezhou Dam, “Three Gorges People” Scenic Area covers an area of 14 km2 and is blessed with a variety of landforms and clear spring water. In December 2015, it was rated as one of the 30 best new tourist landscapes of the Three Gorges.
